AUBURN — Randall A. “Randy” Weaver, 46, and longtime Lewiston resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, at The Hospice House with family at his side.

He was born in Damariscotta, Aug. 5, 1965, the son of Ronald E. Weaver and Sylvia Lane, was educated in Fairfield schools and had been a Lewiston resident since he was in his late teens.

Randy always had a keen interest in politics and for a number of years, was very active in the Democratic Party, especially at the state level. He was also very active in fostering knowledge about AIDS/HIV. He was an lifetime avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and loved animals, as he always enjoyed the company of his two cats Kit Kat and Tigger. Randy was a loving son, brother and uncle with a big heart who will be dearly missed by family and friends.

He leaves his mother, Sylvia Lane of Livermore; his brother, Michael Weaver of Livermore; his sister, Melissa Rizer and husband, Christopher, of Casco; a nephew, Richard Light and wife, Katie, of Hallowell; three nieces, Holly Warner of Lewiston and Angela and Ashley Stump, both of New Gloucester; and several cousins.

Randy was predeceased by a brother, Mark Weaver, in 1989.
