CAPE ELIZABETH — The wedding of Amber Diana Wandell and Robert Daniel Lussier Jr. was held at 5 p.m. on Aug. 27 at Crescent Beach in Cape Elizabeth. Connie Mills, ordained minister, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Lussier is the daughter of Roy Wandell of Lisbon and Elaine DuMais of Lewiston. Mr. Lussier is the son of Bob and Vicki Lussier of Auburn.

The bride wore an ivory strapless sweetheart gown with a fully beaded bodice, drop waist and trumpet skirt, adorned with layers of organza petals and semi-cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of white Cymbidium orchids with fuchsia and yellow throats, yellow freesia and lily grass.

The wedding theme and decorations were all inspired by elements of the Maine coast.

Jennifer Lemay, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Elizabeth Ouelette, another friend, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Lemieux, sister of the bridegroom, and Trina Hackett, Rachel Park and Katie Paixao, friends of the bride. 

Serving as best man for his friend was Jonny Nadeau. Ushers were Charlie Jordan, friend of the bridegroom, Keith Lemieux, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, R.J. Wandell, twin brother of the bride, Shawn Chamberlain, friend of the bridegroom, and Chad Alexander, cousin of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at the Landing at Pine Point in Scarborough, after which the couple traveled to Secrets Resort and Spa in Montego Bay in Jamaica. They are residing in Auburn.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a minor in psychology. She was previously employed at Tri-County Mental Health Services for six years, before deciding to continue her education. She is currently attending Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing and Health Professions.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Edward Little High School and completed a five-year apprenticeship through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in 2005. He has been employed as a journeyman electrician at E.S. Boulos for the last six years and plans to pursue his master’s license in the future.
