PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Nearly 50 restaurants have signed up so far to take part in the fourth annual Maine Restaurant Week to celebrate the state’s food scene.
Organizers say Maine Restaurant Week is scheduled for March 1-10, with participating eateries offering three-course dinners in the $20 to $40 range per person, and some offering three-course lunches for $15.
The week will be kicked off on the night of Feb. 29 with an event at the Portland Harbor Hotel featuring a competition for best cocktail and best dessert that people can sample and vote on.
Another highlight takes place March 9 when restaurants compete in a breakfast cook-off at the Seadog Brewing Co. in South Portland.
