LEWISTON — Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice recently graduated four volunteers from the Program for Grieving Children and Teens training.

Recent graduates include Rick Smith of Auburn, Rilwan Osman of Lewiston, Laurie Babineau of Hartford and Stasia Minkowsky of Monmouth.

The training was designed to prepare volunteers to work with grieving children and their families. Particular attention was given to working with immigrant and refugee children in the multicultural program.

The children have grieving needs that include traumatic loss and loss of home country or culture. The program serves fourth- and fifth-graders in two Lewiston schools.
