NORWAY — About two dozen girls and one boy recently enjoyed a “Fancy Nancy” party at the Memorial Library.
Children’s librarian Anna Gordon said the children came from all over Oxford County on Martin Luther King Day to enjoy reading stories, making crafts and having a fancy tea party in the children’s department. Fancy Nancy is a series of children’s books.
“It was a beautiful day,” said Gordon of the party that featured pink shortbread, animal crackers, pound cake, scones and pink lemonade.
“They all made paper flowers,” she said of one of the activities the children enjoyed. They also made butterfly place mats and sat at a fancy table for tea.
The Fancy Nancy party is one of the many activities the children’s department has each month.
- Sisters Haley and Elizabeth Littlefield of Albany enjoyed the “Fancy Nancy” party with their dolls and other children. The party was held at the Norway Memorial Library in the children’s department.
