SALEM — A+E’s Hill Country Music will return to the Salem Community Building for their February show at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5. Homemade refreshments will be on sale and a donation box will be at the door. Hosted by the Salem Pine Tree Club.

Seeds at home

Jay — University of Maine Cooperative Extension, Franklin County is offering a Starting Seeds at Home workshop through RSU 73 Adult Education on Monday, Feb. 6, at 6:30 p.m. in room 158 at Spruce Mountain Middle School.

Lauren St.Germain, home horticulture coordinator, will teach the how and whys of growing your own vegetable and flower seedlings with some hands-on instruction. Come learn about seed sources, equipment and lighting, when and how to plant seeds and how to care for and transplant seedlings. There is a $5 fee payable the night of the class and preregistration is required. Call Linda Davis or Greg Bizier at 897-6384 to register.

Extension meeting

INDUSTRY — The Industry Extension will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Shorey Chapel. Program will be making valentines.
