Students from the one-room schools of Poland will be honored guests at the Sunday, Feb. 12, meeting of Person to Person Potluck/Program sponsored by Friends of Ricker Library. Rose Aikman will present historic photographs of many of the more than 21 schoolhouses, and former scholars are invited to share memories. Poland residents, Louise Roberts, who attended the Harris Hill School, Bud Jordan, who attended School 22, and Byron Strout, who attended the White Oak Hill School, will be among those present to participate in the program, “School Days – Remember When,” to be held in the Community Room of Ricker Memorial Library. It will be preceded by a potluck supper and conversation, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The supper and program are open to all. Guests are asked to bring a casserole, salad or dessert.
