AUBURN — Marilyn B. Lejonhud, 79, of Norway died Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Hospice House.

She was born in Portland, July 25, 1932, the daughter of George W. and Ethel Harvey Bonney. She graduated from Deering High School.

She married Philip W. Lejonhud Jr. on July 18, 1953, and was a homemaker all of her life. She was employed as a secretary, she worked at National Semiconductor, and she worked part-time at McCann Fabrication.

She worked with special needs children and started and managed the Rides Program through Community Concepts for many years. She was a member of the Sweet Adelaines and a longtime candlepin bowler.

She loved gardening and watching her grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and endured many train rides with him. She loved bus trips with her best friend Martha, especially to Lancaster, Pa.

She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Powers and husband, Larry; her son, Carl; her son, Dana and wife, Susan; her daughter, Martina Levesque and husband, Danny; grandchildren, Jason Powers and wife, Kara, Arica Monahan and husband, John, Jesse Miller, Nicole, Zachary and Ian Lejonhud and Miranda Levesque; and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband on March 17, 2006; and her son, Barry Lejonhud.
