MYSTIC, Conn. — The wedding of Liisa Lynn Walsh and Jeffrey Austin Sloat was held Sept. 2 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mystic, Conn. Msgr. Richard LaRocque officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Sloat is the daughter of James and Suzanne Walsh of West Hartford, Conn. Mr. Sloat is the son of Bradford and Cynthia Sloat of Auburn.
Katy Walsh, sister of the bride, attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rita Sloat, sister-in-law, Bridget Carr, Erin Cunningham, Alex Gagne, Megan Lemp and Casey Kelly. Cecelia Sloat, niece, was flower girl.
Serving as best man for his friend was Randy Morin. Ushers were Andrew Sloat, brother, and Brian Taylor, Liam Gallagher, Ross Dubuc, John Richard, Jon Ricciarelli and George Howard.
A reception followed at Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington, Conn., after which the couple traveled to San Francisco, Calif. They are residing in Portland.
The bride received a master’s degree in social rehab from Assumption College in Worcester, Mass., and is employed at Catholic Charities Maine in Portland.
The bridegroom graduated from Assumption College and Connecticut School of Broadcasting. He is employed by the Portland Radio Group.
