AUBURN — Norman A. Laliberte, 73, born in Lewiston on July 9, 1938, passed away in Auburn, Monday, Feb. 13.

He was the son of Oscar and Florence Roy Laliberte. Norman was educated in local schools, a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, served in the U.S. Navy, and employed as executive housekeeper and hotel manager, working over the years at many facilities including Sunday River, Mt. Washington, The Blackpoint Inn, Jupiter Island Club, Irelands Inn and Portland Regency Inn.

He was active in local youth sports, as a coach and announcer for Lewiston fly football, and as a coach for Auburn Little League baseball.

Norman, formerly of Lewiston, Deerfield Beach, Fla., and resident of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs’ Home of Maine since 2005, is survived by sons, Ronald and wife, Tanena Laliberte, of Greene and Patrick Laliberte; grandsons, Brandon and Logan Laliberte of Auburn; and his first wife, Estelle Bosse of Lewiston.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his second wife, the former Ruth Phillips.
