KINGFIELD — MSAD 58 is currently gathering approximately 80 people representing a broad cross section of the district’s communities and surrounding communities who tuition their students to MSAD58 to meet for a day-long event in March to create a common vision for the district’s future.
Municipal officials, business leaders, students, parents and school employees have been invited to participate in the event on Saturday, March 24, at the Kingfield Elementary School from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Food will be provided to participants. Additional members of the public who would like to be part of this process should email Andrea Adams at aadams@msad58.org or call her at 639-2086 by Feb. 27.
Judy Enright, an experienced moderator and former public school administrator, will lead the discussion using a process known as The World Cafe. Many other Maine communities have made major, positive changes using in their schools using this visioning process.
MSAD 58’s World Cafe will focus on this guiding question: Considering all the possibilities available to our students and communities, how will our school system need to evolve to meet the present and future needs of our children?
