DURHAM — A 49-year-old Durham woman, Susan Merrill of Rabbit Road, was injured in a single-vehicle rollover Sunday night on Hallowell Road.

According to Androscoggin County Deputy Sheriff Randy Williams, Merrill was driving in a westerly direction on Hallowell Road when she lost control of her car on a curve, veered off the right shoulder, overcorrected and skidded across to the eastbound lane.

Her vehicle continued off the right shoulder and struck a tree head-on, causing her car to spin around and roll over, coming to a stop on its wheels.

Williams said Merrill suffered facial cuts and was taken to Central Maine Medical Center by Durham Fire and Rescue.

Her 1994 Plymouth was demolished in the 8:25 p.m. crash, which remained under investigation Sunday night, Williams said.
