LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday for Emile J. “Bill” Jacques at Holy Cross Church, following prayers at the Fortin Group Funeral Home. Monsignor Marc B. Caron officiated and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. The reading from scripture was read by Connie Jacques and the prayer of the faithful was read by Linda Lebrun. The offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Matthew Jacques and Brenda Landry. The eulogy was delivered by David Jacques. Bearers were Michael Bisson, Matthew, Ron, Bob and Paul Jacques and Joanne Moriarty. A large delegation from the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department attended the services and provided escort services for the funeral cortege. Also present were office staff and county commission representatives. Military honors were provided by personnel of the Maine Funeral Honors Program.
