LEWISTON — The Lewiston CareerCenter, 5 Mollison Way, announces March programming for job seekers and those who are considering training to upgrade their skills to increase their employability.
In addition to the regular offerings, there will be a job fair March 5 from 9 a.m. to noon when more than 30 employers who are hiring will be on hand to recruit for open positions. The Professionals Moving Ahead group meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 2-5 p.m. The March 13 meeting will be “Spring Forward with Fresh Finances,” presented by Laurie McDonnell of Women, Work and Community. On March 27, the group will host several human resources experts to review resumes and talk about the hiring process. Participants are asked to bring their resumes and cover letters. Every Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m., GATEway to Employment gives an overview of basic information on resumes, interviews and job search skills as well as CareerCenter and community services that are available during a job search. Call 753-9005 for required registration.
