Fred Seibert, right, and Cindy Coughenour, owners of the Jolly Drayman Pub at the Briar Lea Inn in Bethel, present SAD 44 Superintendent and Bethel Rotarian David Murphy a check for $1,027. The pub owners decided to use the proceeds from their popular Wednesday Trivial Pursuit game night to help fund a Telstar Middle School literacy project in partnership with the Bethel Rotary Club. The donation will allow the school to purchase 30 copies of the book “A Wilderness Ranger’s Journal – Rendezvous At Devil’s Elbow,” by Tim Caverly. Caverly will provide an interactive presentation with music and scenic and historic photos to several classes.
