AUBURN — Skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities are invited to a day of family fun at the 17th annual Tom Magno Memorial Race on Saturday, March 10, at Lost Valley. Magno was an Edward Little High School ski racer in the class of 1967.

Registration is from 8:30 to 10 a.m. The race starts at 10:15 with two timed runs and a top racer shootout. The $15 entry fee includes a lift ticket from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be prizes, bib drawings and T-shirts.

Proceeds benefit the Auburn Ski Association, a nonprofit organization that provides financial support for alpine and nordic race programs at Edward Little High School and Auburn Middle School, the Lost Valley Race Club, Central Maine Adaptive Skiing and nordic and alpine learn-to-ski programs for elementary school students. ASA also provides scholarships and purchases equipment for area teams and clubs. ASA has been serving Auburn area families for over 50 years, since the days of the Pettingill ski jump and the beginning of Lost Valley
