LEWISTON — Arthur E. Bourassa Jr., 75, of 38 Morse Ave., Lewiston, died unexpectedly Friday, March 2, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Lewiston, Feb. 16, 1937, the son of Arthur E. Sr. and Grace (Torrey) Bourassa and had been a resident of this community all of his life.

He was employed at Pioneer Plastics for many years, until his retirement in May 2002.

For 23 years, he coached for Elliott Avenue baseball team and also was a coach for recreational basketball teams in Lewiston. Arthur was very involved in local sports and loved to go to baseball and hockey games. If you had an open ear, he could tell you about any baseball game he coached or any hockey game he went to.

He is survived by his wife, the former Roberta A. McCaslin, whom he married on July 1, 1961 of Lewiston; three sons, Matthew Bourassa and his companion, Laurie-Ann Ouellette, of Lewiston, Luke Bourassa and his wife, Shirley, of Lewiston and Mark Bourassa of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Evan, Griffin and Katie Bourassa; two sisters, Mary Cloutier of Florida, and Rolande Wollaston of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Joseph and Wilfred Bourassa; and a sister, Pauline Boisvert.
