MYSTIC, Conn. — Genevieve Maillett, 95, of Albany Township, passed away at Avalon Health Care Center on Tuesday, March 6.
She was born in New Haven, Conn., Nov. 29, 1916, the daughter of Peter and Agnes Zatulskis. She graduated from West Haven High School and worked as a caster of turbine blades for Pratt-Whitney in New Haven, Conn., for many years.
She was a member of the Oxford County Senior Citizens and the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Norway. In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening and knitting.
She is survived by her son, Gene of Wallingford, Conn.; a daughter, Joyce Obuchowski and her husband, Joseph, of Stonington, Conn.; two grandsons, Peter and his wife, Monica and Nathan; a great-granddaughter, Natalie; and a great-grandson, Alexander.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph E. Maillett in 2008, after 66 years of marriage; and three brothers, Joseph, William and Levy.
