MEXICO — Mexico police Lt. Roy Hodsdon said members of the department have responded to 48 calls in the previous eight days.

Arrests

* Stephen Beauton, 50, of Backkingdom Road, Mexico, on a charge of domestic terrorizing at his home at 6:20 p.m., March 4. He was bailed from the Oxford County Jail on $1,000 cash, and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 3.

* Chance Bellanceau, 19, Main Street, Mexico, on charges of violation of bail conditions, possession of stolen goods and theft. He was taken to Oxford County Jail, where he remains. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on May 8.

* Jonathan McCaffrey, 22, of Oxford Avenue, Rumford, on a charge of theft from the Mexico Big Apple, 1:04 a.m., March 4. He was bailed from the Mexico Police Department and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 5.

* Barbara DeLuc, 42, Osgood Avenue, Mexico, for violation of bail conditions, violation of a protection order, domestic violence and two counts of assault on a police officer, at 7:26 p.m., March 2. She was taken to Oxford County Jail, then to Androscoggin County Jail, where she remains on $1,500 cash bail. She is scheduled to appear in Oxford County Superior Court on June 15.

Thefts

* A Fourth Street resident reported at 5:37 p.m. Feb. 28 that someone stole a GPS and three MP3s valued at $550 from his unlocked vehicle sometime between Feb. 25 and Feb. 26.

* A Crescent Street resident reported at 2:49 p.m. Feb. 28 that someone stole two iPods valued at $300 from his unlocked vehicle sometime between Feb. 25 and Feb. 26.

Police believe the two thefts are related to each other as well as to several other thefts from vehicles that were reported last week.
