Michael Ponder, front man for Steel Rail Express, based in Liberty, will join the band’s keyboard player, Lindsey Montana, for an acoustic guitar set at Fast Breaks on Tuesday, March 13. Ponder’ began his musical career at a young age in North Carolina, toured with his family’s band in a converted school bus and often backing national acts such as Kitty Wells. His Southern drawl and “chicken pickin’ ” guitar style will add flavors of authenticity to the show, featuring Americana, country, folk and rock music. Montana prefers to play unrehearsed, increasing opportunities for spontaneity. The show starts at 8 p.m.; no cover charge. Fast Breaks is at 1465 Lisbon St., Lewiston.
