INDUSTRY — A local man faces several charges after a woman told police he threatened to kill her, Franklin County Sheriff’s Lt. Niles Yeaton said Tuesday.

Scott Osborne, 31, of Industry was arrested Monday on three counts of violating conditions of release, one of tampering with a witness/victim and one of criminal threatening, Yeaton said.

Franklin County deputies responded to a 911 call at 4:46 p.m. Monday from a residence on the West Mills Road in Industry, Yeaton said. Deputies Nicholas Zecher and Sandy Burke, and Detective David St. Laurent met with the woman caller who said Osborne had been at her residence and violated two sets of bail conditions to have no contact with her, Yeaton said.

As she called 911, Osborne walked away from the residence. She told deputies that Osborne had called her once earlier in the day, came to her residence and called her after he left Monday afternoon, Yeaton said.

She told police he threatened to kill her, he said.

Deputies called in sheriff’s Cpl. Nate Bean with his tracking dog, who found  Osborne at a nearby residence, Yeaton said.

Osborne was arrested and taken to Franklin County jail in Farmington to await a court appearance.
