LISBON — The Police Department has received a Homeland Security Grant totaling more than $97,000 to buy new radio equipment for Lisbon’s communications center.
The center currently communicates with town police, fire, rescue, public works and the schools. It also talks with all neighboring towns.
“We also have communications with Androscoggin County, Androscoggin EMA, Sagadahoc County, Topsham PD and all our neighbors,” police Chief David Brooks said.
The money will buy two new 20-channel radio consoles.
