APL book sale

AUBURN — A book sale will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29, in the Auburn Public Library basement book room. Books include hardcover fiction, classics, Bibles, languages, politics and specials on romances and children’s books.

The sale will take place on the last Thursday of each month through May.

Magic show

LEWISTON — A magical stage show with the Great Stephan will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 30, at Lewiston Middle School.

Tickets are $10. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit Montello Elementary School.

Kora Shrine meeting

LEWISTON — The spring meeting of Kora Shrine will be held Saturday, March 31, for the purpose of providing information about the benefits of being a Shriner and a Mason.

Nobles and prospective nobles and their guests will receive more information about the units, clubs and committees that keep Kora running and the vision and mission of the Shrine and Shriners Hospital for Children.

The Potentate of Kora has decreed this a day for fellowship, friendship and fun, with the goal of helping nobles without unit or club affiliations or prospective nobles to meet and greet the various organizations in Kora.

Blood drive

GREENE — The Greene Volunteer Fire Department will host a blood drive from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 31, at the fire station on the Patten Road. Homemade soups and desserts, pizza and breakfast treats will be served. For more information or to sign up, call Brenda at 946-5750.
