Mountain Valley High School seniors participated in the National Honor Society state convention. The state service project was two-fold. Chapters collected books in their communities for World Wide Book Drive. The Rumford school chapter collected more than 2,500 books, the largest number of books of all the NHS chapters. Chapters also gathered school supplies for elementary school children. All supplies were brought to the convention. With donated bags from Homeland Security and UMO Bookstore, more than 200 “I Care Bags” were filled and distributed to children around the state from Gray to Fort Kent.
