WILTON — The Wilton CareerCenter in collaboration with the Franklin County Community College Network, Central/Western Maine Workforce Investment Board, and the region’s call center employers, Sykes Enterprises, Barclays, T-Mobile, NotifyMD, Carbonite and Access Worldwide, will be hosting a call center information session on April 12, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Wilton CareerCenter, 865 U.S. Route 2E.

Employment at a call center is a great opportunity for workers to become part of a growing industry in Maine with good pay, benefits, career advancement, and can be a person’s first step to a better financial future. Anyone looking for a job and seeking to gain valuable long-term job skills is strongly encouraged to come and learn more about many job opportunities available at the area’s call centers.

This event will provide job seekers with an overview of what call centers do, required call center job skills, presentations by call center representatives about their companies with an open question-and-answer session, available educational and training resources, and the opportunity to apply for call center jobs with help from on-site career center personnel.
