LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial for Jean “Paul” Meservier was celebrated Tuesday at Holy Cross Church. The Rev. Nathan March celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Military honors were presented. Spiritual readings were read by granddaughters, Renee and Nicole Meservier. Mercedes Gastonguay sang “Ave Maria,” with other spiritual songs sung by friends of Prince of Peace Parish, with Sister Monique as organist. The pall and cross was placed on the casket by his five children, sons, Patrick, Michael, Timmy and Nick Meservier and daughter, June Linscott. The offertory was presented by grandchildren, Katrina Cyr, Kathy and Rebecca Meservier and Alison Linscott. Bearers were Tanner Meservier, Ralph Linscott, Marc Gosselin, Dan Gervais, Jason Casavant and Nick Angelides. The eulogy for Paul was written by his grandson, Tanner Meservier and read by daughter-in-law, Sue Meservier. A luncheon followed at the Ramada Inn, with family and friends and Nick Angelides was photographer. Arrangements were under the care of Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home.
