JAY — Funeral services for Virginia Ruth “Ginny” Kittredge of Jay were held Sunday, March 25, from the Jay Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Smith officiating. Mavis Fitch and Carol Gile sang a duet, “Amazing Grace” accompanied by church organist, Dot White, and the congregation sang “Rock of Ages.” The funeral message was titled ‘If a man dies, shall he live again,’ Job 14:14. Pallbearers were grandsons, John Oberton, Lucas Preble, Noah Preble and Michael Hyland, sons, Rob Preble, Kevin “Cubby” Davis and Rick Spofford, and great-nephews, Jacob Brown and Geordan Brown. Following services, a family reception was hosted by the church fellowship in the undercroft vestry. Winter entombment at the Wiles Remembrance Center. Spring burial will be at Jay Hill Cemetery.
