WATERVILLE — Police in Waterville are looking for suspects in the stabbing of a man following a fight in the central Maine city.

Police say 26-year-old Michael Reed of Waterville suffered two stab wounds to his back and was taken by ambulance to MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville. His injuries are classified as serious but non-life threatening.

The attack following a fight early Sunday morning between two males and several females.

One of the females called Reed on her cell phone. Shortly after Reed arrived, they two men approached Reed and a fight ensued. Reed was struck on the head with a piece of wood and suffered two stab wounds to his back.
