FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington will present a student-directed, one-act play festival from Tuesday, April 17, to Sunday, April 22.
The performances, featuring student casts and crews, are open to the public. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for students, $5 for seniors. They will be available at the door at UMF Alumni Theater.
Productions are as follows:
* “Then,” by David Campton, what happens when the last two people alive meet; 7:30 p.m. April 18 and 20; 2 p.m. April 22
* “The Crown Diamond,” by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, an evening with Sherlock Holmes; 7:30 p.m. April 17, 19 and 21
* “The Kentucky Marriage Proposal,” by Alice H. Houstle, directed by Haley Bubier of Jay, a Kentucky hypochondriac’s marriage proposal goes comically awry; 7:30 p.m. April 17, 19 and 21
* “Crazy Eights,” by David Lindsay-Abaire, a witty tale of love in the workplace and horrible timing; 7:30 p.m. April 17, 19 and 21
* “Asylum,” by Dennis Bush, a dark conversation with eight characters coming to terms with life’s struggles; 7:30 p.m. April 18 and 20; and 2 p.m. April 22
* “Gendermat,” by Mark Dunn, tag-team theater proving love is truly human; 7:30 p.m. April 18 and 20; and 2 p.m. April 22
