LEWISTON — “Nutrition: How to Make It Work For You” will be the topic of a presentation set for the April 16 meeting of the Central and Western Maine ICD Support Group. The meeting will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute first-floor conference room. The program is being offered free of charge.

Amanda Hutchins, child and adolescent health coordinator at Healthy Androscoggin, will discuss breaking down barriers to eating a healthy diet, focusing on portion sizes, how to read a nutrition label and eating healthy on a budget.

The Central and Western Maine ICD Support Group is for individuals who have an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator. Family members and other support persons are also welcomed to attend.
