LISBON — Peter F. Grant Sr., 63, and longtime resident of the Ferry Road in Lisbon, died Thursday evening, April 12, at his home, with family by his side.

He was born in Dover Foxcroft June 30, 1948, a son of Francis B. and Opal Brooker Grant. He was educated at Piscataquis Community High School in Guilford. Peter worked 45 years at Bath Iron Works, where he was highly respected, he served as president of the BMDA and spent most of his career as a supervisor. He was an avid outdoorsman who greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family, snowmobiling and auto racing.
He was a loving, devoted and hardworking father and grandfather whom will be dearly missed.

He leaves his three children, Lisa Haley and husband, Edward, of Sarasota, Fla., Jennifer Grant and fiance, Scott Hood, of Turner, and Peter Grant Jr. and fiancee, Veronica O’Connor, of Leeds; 11 grandchildren, Natasha, Charlotte, Jacob, Christy, Amanda, A.J., Justin, Zach, Tyler, Ian and Shawna; a great-granddaughter, Carmen; his father, Francis B. Grant, of Sangerville; two brothers, Richard Grant and wife, Ruth Ann, of Millinocket, and Doug Grant and wife, Marilyn, of Monmouth; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Opal Grant; and his youngest brother, Randal Grant.
