WILTON – The last Storytelling Dinner of the season at Calzolaio Pasta Company, 284 Main St., will be held on Friday, April 20, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Deborah Freedman of Portland will be the featured storyteller. Describing herself as a “Hupa,” she creates fairy tales based on people’s personal stories and performs them at special events, like weddings, birthdays or memorials. She also does a workshop for grandmas (and a few good grandpas) on how to create fairy tales for grandchildren. Freedman can be reached at [email protected]; her website is www.storyspell.com.

The dinners are made possible by local storyteller Phyllis Blackstone.

Music during the evening will be courtesy of Jackie Ranco on the keyboard.

Two tickets to the Western Maine Storytelling Festival, which will be held in Farmington on July 20 and 21, will be raffled off as part of a fundraiser for the festival. Other raffle items include two tickets to Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center donated by Phill McIntyre.

Cost of the dinner is $19.95, which includes a garden salad, Italian entree, crusty Italian bread with oil and spices, a nonalcoholic beverage, tax and gratuity. Reservations are strongly recommended. Call 645-9500 or go online at calzolaiopasta.com to make a reservation.
