Historical society to meet
RUMFORD — The Rumford Historical Society will hold its April meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the auditorium of the Rumford Municipal Building on Congress Street.
This month, the board is offering its overall members to join with it in a group activity assessing its performances over the past years, and making suggestions for the upcoming year’s programs, beginning in September.
The board is interested in learning what the general membership knows about the organization, its programs, its opportunities for volunteering and its collections available for the public’s use at both the Archives Office and the Rumford Center Museum. Discussions will center around those issues and future goals for the society.
A special opportunity to tour the archives will be offered to those in attendance. Light refreshments will be provided.
Enter and exit the building through the River Street entrance, by the Police Department.
