SKOWHEGAN — Nate Pushard fired a five-hitter and Josh Delong had three hits and three RBIs to spark Edward Little to a 6-1 triumph over Skowhegan in a KVAC baseball game Saturday.

John Simpson and Gage Colete hit back-to-back doubles to highlight a three-run outburst in the third inning for the Red Eddies (2-1). Delong ripped a two-run double in the seventh to seal the victory.

Two of Delong’s three hits were doubles. Pushard also had a double.

Pushard struck out five and walked one in the complete-game victory.

Isaac Wacome had two singles for Skowhegan (0-2).

Dirigo 7, Spruce Mountain 6

LIVERMORE FALLS — Jake Dowland connected on a solo home run with one out in the seventh inning to give Dirigo a 7-6 win over Spruce Mountain in Mountain Valley Conference baseball action Friday.

Spencer Trenoweth had a two-run homer for the Cougars and was one of four Cougars with two hits, along with Chad Snowman, Ben Holmes and Robbie Babb. Jake Bessey rapped two hits for Spruce Mountain (1-1) and Pat Ryan had a two-run double.

Kaine Hutchins picked up the win in relief for Dirigo (1-1).

Boys’ lacrosse

Lincoln 12, Mt. Blue 2

FARMINGTON — Killian Miller netted a game-high five goals to lead Lincoln Acadmey to a 12-2 victory over Mt. Blue in boys’ lacrosse action Saturday.

Ben Stone contributed four goals, while Ryan Peters added a goal and five assists for the Eagles.

Ryan Rouillard provided all of the Cougar’s scoring, netting both goals. Goalie John Andrews made 33 saves in the losing effort.

Softball

Skowhegan 14, Edward Little 2

SKOWHEGAN — Shelby Obert produced three RBIs on two hits and Amanda Johnson crossed the plate on two occasions as Skowhegan routed Edward Little 14-2 in KVAC softball action Saturday.

The Indians (1-1) jumped out ot a 7-1 lead in the first inning and added cushion in the third and fouth innings with another seven runs.

Kory Norcross tripled and scored for the Red Eddies (0-3), while Kennedy Hubbard contributed a pair of hits in the losing effort.

Girls’ lacrosse

Hebron 11, Kents Hill 6

Kents Hill — Chelsea Boucher compiled six goals to lead Hebron to an 11-6 triumph over Kents Hill in girls’ lacrosse action Saturday.

Hebron took a 5-2 halftime lead, and added a two-point cushion in the second half. Hannah Hearn and Olivia Grimmer contributed a pair of goals each for Hebron.

Ashley Doyle netted four of Kents Hill’s six goals. Three of those four came in the second frame.

Goalie Sam Stasulius made 17 saves for Kents Hill, while goalie Sara Grover turned back 12 to earn the win in net for Hebron.
