Wild West passport dinner

WILTON — Wilson Grange will hold the final Passport Dinner of the season, with the theme Wild Wild West, at 6 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Wilson Grange in East Wilton.

The dinner will be a wonderful opportunity to learn about Native Americans through drum and dance. The group will welcome Wolf Feather and the Children’s Drum.

Cost is $12 per person. Menu includes pico de gallo salsa with tortilla chips, Santa Fe chili, Conestoga wagon corn bread and prairie gingerbread cake.

Church plans spring events

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will be honoring women at the monthly First Saturday Supper at 5:30 p.m. May 5. The meal will include casseroles, salads and desserts. There will be raffle items following the meal. Donations will benefit the work of the church.

Confirmation Sunday will be held on April 29 during the 9 a.m. worship service.

The school-year session of Sunday School will end on May 6 with presentations during morning worship and a hike to the falls behind the church at about 10:30 a.m. Summer Sunday School starts on May 13 and will include the planning, planting and maintenance of the Youth Garden.

The annual 3 in 1 plus raffle sale will be held in the church yard from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 19. Yard sale will feature gently used items, including knick knacks, gardening items, housewares and books. The bake sale will include cookies, cakes, pies, bread, bars and brownies. The plant sale will feature mostly perennial flowers. There will also be some starter shrubs and vegetable seedlings. Raffle items will be announced later.

The church is on Route 219 in East Sumner village at 50 Main St.

SeniorsPlus open house

GREENWOOD — SeniorsPlus will hold an open house at the Greenwood Town Office on Wednesday, May 2, from 9 to 11 a.m. to introduce a new outreach project for seniors and adults with disabilities in Oxford County.

Kathy Brill, manager of the Aging and Disability Resource Center at SeniorsPlus, will be there to introduce their new Oxford County Outreach worker, Valerie Cole, to the community.

Refreshments will be served.

ATV safety training

PARIS — The X-tra Mile ATV Club will hold an ATV safety training at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Town Office.

Must be 6 years old or older to attend. Anyone under age 16 must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
