FARMINGTON — A Wilton man was listed in stable condition at a Lewiston hospital Monday night, two days after he was found unconscious in a parked car at McDonald’s restaurant.

Police are trying to figure out how Harold MacIsaac, 68, received broken ribs, a punctured lung and a serious bruise to his head sometime early Saturday morning.

MacIsaac was escorted from the Front Street Tavern about a quarter mile from McDonald’s and seen leaning against the entryway when bar employees left at closing time Saturday, Sgt. Edward Hastings IV said Monday.

Hastings said all the tavern employees were interviewed and none knew of any altercation taking place there.

A McDonald’s employee finished work at 6:15 a.m. Saturday and found the man in their vehicle, Farmington police secretary Rachel Heseltine said Monday as she read police officer William Tanner’s report.

“We don’t know what happened,” Heseltine said.

The man had a severe bruise on the left side of his head, she said. He was taken by NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington and transferred to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

He had broken ribs, a punctured lung and a head injury, Heseltine said.

Police Detective Marc Bowering interviewed MacIsaac on Saturday in the intensive care unit of the hospital, she said. MacIsaac only remembered being at the tavern earlier that night and then waking up when Farmington police and NorthStar personnel assisted him in the McDonald’s parking lot, Heseltine said.

Sgt. Hastings said the McDonald’s employee’s car is similar to MacIsaac’s, which was parked at the tavern.

Anyone has information is asked to call Farmington Police Department at 778-6311.
