Each year, Jobs for Maine’s Graduates students at Spruce Mountain High School South Campus, Livermore Falls, have $1000 to give away as a part of the Unity Foundation’s Jumpstart Our Youth initiative. The students select a local nonprofit that serves youths to receive the money each spring. This year the students chose the Spruce Mountain Ski Club, which is not affiliated with the school. The donated money will be used to update the team’s equipment. Students will also donate their time, painting at the Spruce Mountain Ski Area later this spring.
