The Maine Wing, Civil Air Patrol recently held a promotion ceremony in Augusta. Captain Warren King, at left, a mission pilot for the Maine Wing, was promoted to Major. Col. Dan Leclair, at right, Maine wing commander, presided over the ceremony. King has been flying aircraft for more than 40 years, in the military and as a civilian pilot. He has been with the Civil Air Patrol for the last six years. He is the maintenance officer for all Maine Wing aircraft. He is a resident of Auburn with his wife Mary, and a graduate of Edward Little High School. CAP is the volunteer, nonprofit auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force.
