Lewiston native Walter Case, Jr., driving Cretan Thunder, drove a tactical race in winning Sunday’s $25,000 Leonard Pooler Memorial Pace at Lewiston Raceway. A record 4,167 fans watched Case take the lead at the eighth pole on the way to a 1:58.4 victory. That time fell short of the track record of 1:57.3, which was set by Kesons Beau last fall. Kesons Beau, who returned to defend his record, finished sixth Sunday.
