MERIDEN, Conn. — Barbara Fish Gibbs, 78, of Laura Lane, North Haven, Conn., passed away Saturday, April 28, at the MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Lawrence N. Gibbs.

She was born in Lewiston, May 1, 1933, daughter of the late Harry and Agnes Pearl Fish. Barbara had worked as an executive assistant for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 25 years and was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church for more than 50 years.

She was mother of Sharon (Bruce) Baraiola of Yalesville, Conn., and Diana (Bill) Eastty of Wrentham, Mass.; grandmother of Kristen and Andrea Baraiola and Heather and Kayla Eastty; and sister of Wallace Fish of Turner.

Barbara was a graduate of Leavitt Institute in 1950, and Auburn Maine School of Commerce in 1952. Barbara and Larry moved to Connecticut shortly after they were married in 1955 and adopted North Haven as their home ever since. For more than 30 summers, she treasured the time she spent with friends and family in her beloved community of Bayside on the beautiful Penobscot Bay.
