NORWAY — Norway Memorial Library invites teens, grades 7-12, to The Hunger Games Party from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 10. The party will be held in the Teen Room on the lower level of the library.

Teens can become ‘tributes’ or ‘spectators’ in the Hunger Game challenge. Tributes will be given opening points based on the number of cans of food they bring. The more cans they bring, the more sponsors will aid them during the games. Spectators can cheer on the tributes. Citizens of Panem are invited to eat at the capital feast. Teens arriving in costume as their favorite “Hunger Games” character have a chance at winning a prize.

Admission is one can of food for the “End Hunger Cornucopia.” Food collected will be given to Oxford Hills Food Pantry.

The teen room is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. Teens may relax, read, hang out with friends and play games. The teen room is a wireless hotspot and a designated snack zone. For more information about teen services or the party, contact Cynthia Riley, teen services coordinator, at 743-5309, ext. 5, or email norteen@norway.lib.me.us.
