AUBURN — Join Jennifer Martel throughout the month of May at the Auburn Public Library for a series of home organization seminars that will help you create a clutter free home.

On Thursday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m., Martel will start with tips to control closet areas. For many, the closet is a hot spot of clutter because it’s all too easy to shove something in there and shut the door.

Martel will go through the process of cleaning and purging closets and how to systematically put items back, all while describing the process involved and highlighting some tools and/or products that help with organization. She will go over everything from seasonal clothes, shoes, shelving and accessories. Depending on time and audience participation, she may also talk briefly about drawers and dealing with that chaos as well.

Martel will return at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 14, to offer tips on organizing the garage. She will pay special attention to organizing hobby equipment such as fishing, gardening and sports gear.

The series ends on May 22 with a 2 p.m. seminar on kids’ clutter. The presentation will focus on ideas and tools to organize a child’s room.

All presentations are free and will take place in the Androscoggin Community Room.
