AUBURN — Theodore C. Durgan, 68, of Oxford passed away Monday, May 7, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.

He was born in Portland, Aug. 10, 1943, son of Carl C. and Virginia (Burnham) Durgan.

Theodore proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for many years in the shoe shop. He married Brenda Small on March 12, 1977.

Theodore liked to fish and hunt. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed life and was a very caring person.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; five children, Theodore C. Durgan Jr. of Oxford, Victoria Durgan of Oxford, Shirlee Marchesseault of Oxford, Missy Cook of Monmouth and Tim Durgan of Saco; 11 grandchildren, Aiden, Noah, Tyler, Meagan, Tamara, Corey, Jasmine, Rueben, Holly, Landon and Lily; sisters, Belva Clark of Monmouth and Ginny Kahkonen of Norway.

He was predeceased by his sister, Coleen.
