AUBURN — Clyde Bergemann Auburn, formerly Bachmann Industries, the air-gas handling division of Clyde Bergemann Power Group Americas, has appointed Gary Hazard as engineering manager at the Auburn company.
Hazard leads a team of engineers and drafters focused on custom designed and fabricated air gas handling equipment for the power, utility and industrial markets. Hazard’s background encompasses engineering, research and development, and business development.
Prior to joining Clyde Bergemann Auburn he was manager of R&D Mechanical Engineering at SPX Communication Technology (Dielectric) in Raymond. For 15 years, he also operated an engineering consulting firm that specialized in manufacturing design related to gas-fired burners, which led to multiple combustion product design patents. He also worked in product development and quality at Corning Inc., and has owned and operated a hardwood fine furniture business in Vermont for many years.
Hazard earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Vermont and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan.
