AUBURN — Conrad J. Liberty, 90, of Auburn passed away Sunday, May 13, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.

He was born in North Yarmouth, May 1, 1922, a son of the late Philomin and Louise (Therrien) Liberty. He was educated in North Yarmouth and then went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, during World War II. He married the love of his life, Fleurette E. Hamel, Oct. 19, 1946.

Conrad leaves his wife of 66 years, Fleurette Liberty of Auburn; a son, James Liberty of Auburn; three grandsons, James Spencer of Lewiston, Christopher Liberty and his wife, Alishia Sessions-Liberty, of Auburn and Eric Liberty and his companion, Shanon; five great-grandchildren, Emily, Takoda, Cheyenne, Angel and Gage; a sister, Lauretta Ripley; a brother, Roland Liberty and his wife, Katherine, both of North Yarmouth; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, John Liberty; a daughter-in-law, Mona Liberty; and several brothers and sisters.
