LEWISTON — A Lewiston man stabbed in a weekend brawl remained in critical condition Tuesday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Randy Doggett, 21, suffered a slashed throat and was taken to Central Maine Medical Center early Sunday morning.

His injury occurred during a melee involving more than a dozen people at an apartment building on Howe Street, police said. The fight apparently was sparked by a feud between two of the participants from weeks earlier.

Also stabbed during the fight were Dominic Currie, 22, of Lewiston and Jamahl Howell, 24, of Livermore Falls. Both were treated at CMMC and released.

Police continued to investigate the stabbings Tuesday. They said they identified at least one suspect, but had made no arrests.
