FARMINGTON – Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice has announced that employees at The Pierce House have signed up to participate in the Hospice House 5K & Remembrance Walk.
“Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice touches everyone we work with,” said Darlene Mooar, Pierce House administrator. “Their support allows our residents to stay in their own home. They are an important part of our team here at the Pierce House, and an important part of our community.
“When I mentioned the event and that it would benefit patients at Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice’s Hospice House to our staff, they were very eager to participate,” said Mooar. “We all know someone who has had hospice care and served at the Hospice House. Our Pierce House team is walking in memory of our past residents, and especially Debbie Cressall.”
The event takes place on Sunday, May 20, with registration beginning at 7 a.m. The race and walk will start at 8 from Meeting House Park on Main Street. Parking is available at the movie theater parking lot. In addition to the 5K run and walk, there will also be a Kids’ Fun Run. Registration is $20 prior to the event and $25 on event day.
Remembrance Balloons inscribed with the names of loved ones will line the awards area. Balloons may be dedicated for $10 each. There is no need to participate in the event to dedicate a balloon. Event registrations and balloon dedications may be made online at www.ahch.org.
