DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have recently started reading stories by Karen Kingsbury. They are inspirational books. I can’t find them anywhere. I found a few in North Carolina last winter, but I have been unable to find them here.

If anyone has one or can tell me where I might find them, please call me.

Thank you for your column. — Betty, 388-2642

ANSWER: The last time Sun Spots had a similar request, the reader was inundated with helpful offers. Hopefully this will the case for you as well.

You might also check out Artios used books, 180 Turner St., Auburn, 786-4007.

To learn more about Karen and her books — and see which ones you still haven’t read — you might check out her website, www.karenkingsbury.com. Public library personnel will help you navigate her site.

Of course, her books are widely available online, including used at amazon.com or half.com.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I recently saw an infomercial on one of the satellite stations that was on the secrets of dog training. They were selling two DVDs for $60.

I can’t afford that and I was wondering if anyone out there ever purchased it and still has it and would be willing to sell it for a reasonable price. I am tired of my dog taking me for a walk!

I know this has been offered before quite some time ago. You can contact me by email. Thanks! — ddlions2@gmail.com

ANSWER: A Google search for “dog training DVDs as seen on TV” turned up several different options, so you may hear from readers who have a different DVD than the one you have in mind. The most-frequently cited on the first page of results are tips from a trainer named Don Sullivan.

It also appears that some training DVDs are available in stores such as Best Buy and PetSmart.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m looking for the Deluxe Aggravation game, which was popular in the 1970s and beyond. Mine is all worn out, and I would love to find another one.

The newer version is not the same. I only want the deluxe edition. If you have one, please contact me, as I’m willing to pay for it. Thank you in advance. — Pauline Chasse, pjnjp11@gmail.com, 929-2108 or 212-9858

ANSWER: If no readers come through, you might want to check online. It appears to be available from several sources, including the usual eBay, etsy and Amazon, as well as darwinsgamecloset.com and donsgamecloset.com.

There is even a site dedicated to these games: http://aggravationboardgames.blogspot.com/

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Are there any energetic community members in the New Auburn Village area interested in creating a community garden plot?

We have a potential site with access to water and electricity. We are in the beginning planning stages and would welcome an infusion of helpers with ideas, organizational skills and willing hands.
