PORTLAND — Alice A. Milligan, 81, died Monday, May 21, in Portland. She was a resident of the Cedars in Portland.

She was born in Mexico, July 10, 1930, a daughter of Aaron and Ellen (Fleming) Anderson. She was a graduate of Mexico High School, Class of 1947, and worked as a bank teller for Casco Bank.

Alice was a devoted wife and mother who loved her children and grandchildren. She and her husband, John loved to spend winters in Florida, and summers in Weld, where they would entertain the grandchildren. She loved children, sewing, animals and shopping.

She was married in Rumford, May 9, 1953, to her devoted husband, John F. Milligan, who died in Portland on Nov. 3, 2011.

Survivors include two sons, John A. and his wife, Joy, of Cape Elizabeth and Aaron and his wife, Jill, of Scarborough; a daughter, Maureen Willey and her husband, Bob, of Sherborn, Mass.; a brother-in-law, Daniel Casey of Mexico; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Aordkian and her husband, Peter, of Oxford, Conn.

She was predeceased by her husband; baby boy, Robert; baby girl, Milligan; and a sister, Margaret Casey.
