LIVERMORE FALLS — A Jay man was charged late Monday after police responded to a complaint of disorderly conduct on Knapp Street.

Two people were walking down the street at about 11:30 p.m. and a confrontation broke out, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said. Sgt. Steve Allen intervened, got things calmed down and one of the people left.

Nicholas Paul, 33, of Jay, who was intoxicated, showed up, Steward said, and was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
